For skating, the ease of putting on and taking off the jacket should have been a higher priority than the zipper front. The watertight zippers on the adjacent pockets add to the discomfort, which is the real fun of this jacket.
The overall silhouette is relaxed, with generous arm widths.
The length can also be shortened by using the snap buttons and ties at the fishtail.
